FABulous 4.0 selects another 20 European startups to integrate the acceleration programme

FABulous, the Future Internet Business Acceleration Programme for 3D Printing Services, launched its third and last open call in May looking for projects related to the topic Innovation for 3D Printing and Digital Fabrication. In this call, entrepreneurs, web-entrepreneurs and SMEs have been invited to submit innovative ideas for the development of new web business, as well as the implementation of a new business line in their company.

This last open call has been ongoing until the 28th of June. The projects’ acceleration will start in September and last for 4 months, both Business Model (BM) validation and prototype building will be part of the process. The projects will receive 30.000€ funding.

20 projects from 11 countries have been selected for this call. Among those selected, there are 5 projects from Spain, 3 from Germany, 2 from Belgium, 2 from France, 2 from Italy, one from Denmark,  one from Portugal, one from Romania, one from Switzerland, one from The Netherlands and one from United Kingdom. A total of 16 projects are from SMEs, while 4 are run by entrepreneurs.

The projects will be monitored throughout the runtime of their projects to ensure the continued viability of carrying out their tasks.

With the 20 new projects entering the accelerator, FABulous sums up 95 projects supported through three calls.
